Dismas House Family Farm: Provides housing and services to homeless former prisoners on a 12-bed, working farm in Oakham, Massachusetts, where residents learn critical vocational skills to reintegrate positively and meaningfully with society.

Father Brooks House: A permanent housing program that offers affordable apartments for up to eight Dismas program graduates and their families.

Reverend Richard and Gail Pryce House: Permanent housing program that offers affordable housing for up to six Dismas program graduates and their families (Oakham, MA)

BAR None Program: Designed to help individuals with criminal records address civil matters that are barriers to successful community reintegration. Community Legal Aid’s CORI/Re-entry work focuses on helping people with criminal records overcome barriers to housing, employment, and other opportunities. Our attorneys provide representation in CORI sealing and expungement cases, criminal record-related denials of public and subsidized housing, and employment or educational/job training program denials due to a criminal record. The criminalization of poverty, substance use, and mental illness, and the over-policing of communities of color, result in a cycle of incarceration and other forms of state supervision that are incredibly destructive for families and communities. The CORI unit is dedicated to combatting the civil consequences of the criminal court system.
